California Compliance
Factory-built housing in California involves two layers of review. State-level programs cover how a home is designed and produced in the factory — through Design Approval Agencies (DAA), Quality Assurance Agencies (QAA), factory inspection and the HCD insignia. Local programs cover how a home is placed and connected on your specific parcel — through your city or county.
Important
State-level programs such as DAA, QAA, factory inspection and HCD insignia do not necessarily replace review by the city or county where your project is located, including zoning, foundation, utilities, fire access, setbacks, installation and building permits. Compliance requirements vary by model and jurisdiction. KyangLab does not guarantee that any model will receive a permit in any specific jurisdiction.
